 A corporate sailing day offers the chance to entertain your top clients, suppliers and colleagues at an exhilerating and relaxing day to remember. Whether it is intended as a team building exercise, incentive trip or pure entertaining we will have the options to suit your requirements and budget. Our sailing days range from the purely indulgent to the highly competitive - all delivered with great style. Our sailing regattas range from a inter company fun days on the water through to competing at the World famous Cowes Week in August. Please find below a typical itinerary for a Regatta Day at Cowes Week:
08.00: | Arrival time at GUNWHARF QUAYS MARINA for your hi speed transfer over to Cowes.
After a safety briefing, the RIB will start up the engine and blast its way over to Cowes. |
08.30: | Arrival time at Cowes Yacht Haven, please make your way to the the Ondeck VIP Hospitality Area where you need to check in for your charter. | 08.45: | After all guests have successfully checked in, you will be escorted to your yacht by your professional skipper for the day. Upon arrival on the yacht, you will be welcomed with breakfast of hot bacon rolls, fresh pastries, tea & coffee, and the skipper will undertake a thorough safety briefing. | 09.30: | After breakfast and the briefing, its time to drop the lines and head on out for a couple of hours of pre race training. The sails are hoisted & the skipper encourages all crew to take part in sailing the yacht, from helming, sail trimming, tacking & gybing. Crew are encouraged to rotate around the roles, finding naturally the position they enjoy. This time is all about familiarisation in preparation for the racing |

11.20: | Skandia Cowes Week racing to begin! Race Start 11.20 – RYS
It’s time to put the new found racing skills to the test - enjoy!
The races usually last 3 – 4 hours, finishing approximately 14.00 – 15.00. Deluxe Racing lunches have been provisioned onboard, so do feel free to tuck in whenever you feel ready |
14.00 - 15.00: | Racing end time. You are more than welcome to enjoy the yacht for another few hours yet, as the champagne reception begins between 16.30 – 17.00hrs. |
16.30 – 18.30 | Champagne Reception
You are all invited to come and join us for our Champagne reception, to be held in the VIP Hospitality area where you checked in for the charter this morning. What better way to relax and chat about the days exciting events?
All guests will be issued with Cowes Yacht Haven wrist bands so are free to leave at their leisure to enjoy the Haven festivities and bands. |
